We are almost a month away from the weekend festivities! Here are a few questions we have been asked so far - keep them coming!
ATTIRE FOR EVENTS
We've received a number of questions regarding what to wear to the various events. There's no dress code, but here's some general guidance:
Friday's mehndi event - informal. Women could wear spring dresses or a nice top/pants (or something comparable) or Indian attire.
Friday's Welcome and Sangeet event - cocktail casual. Men could wear Indian attire, or slacks/shirt with either a tie or blazer. Women could wear cocktail dresses, or Indian attire.
Saturday Wedding / Reception - semi-formal. Women could wear formal saris or other Indian clothing, or a formal cocktail dress. Men could wear Indian attire or suits. This is California formal so no need to pack tuxedos, men!
RIDE SHARING
For those interested in sharing rides to/from the airport, please fill out your flight information in the RSVP with details such as when you arrive, at what airport, and whether you are looking for a ride or are renting a car and willing to give others a ride. Hopefully this will facilitate people getting in touch with one another to get some carpooling going.
All of the wedding events will be on the hotel property. The hotel also has a complimentary shuttle to take guests into town which can also be a 10 minute pleasant walk or 5 minute bike ride (the hotel has bikes for rent and our guests receive a discount)
CHILD CARE
The hotel has provided recommendations for child care. There will be a designated room for children both Friday and Saturday's evening activities. If anyone is looking to nanny share, please send us a message - we will connect you with other interested parents.

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON SATURDAY MORNING
One of the main reasons why we chose Sonoma and the Lodge is because we wanted our guests to come and relax after traveling so far. We wanted our hotel to feel like home and our wedding weekend to be a time to rekindle old friendships and create new ones. Saturday morning is an opportunity for a hike or bike ride, going into town for shopping and wine tasting, a morning at the spa or lounging for a game of Scrabble by the pool. When you check in, you will receive suggested activities that we have put together along with suggestions of what is happening in the area.
WHAT'S HAPPENING ON SUNDAY
For our guests who don't need to rush off first thing on Sunday morning, we are hoping to see you while we hear recaps of the weekend as we relax around the hotel pool before packing. We leave for our honeymoon to Belize Sunday night so we may even try to walk through town and visit a wine tasting or two....
WHAT'S THE WEATHER?
Sonoma that time of year is expected to be sunny and in the mid to high 60s F with lows in the 40s F at night...but it is the tail end of their Spring so there is always a chance for a shower.
